Nintendo brings to Manga Barcelona some of its most celebrated novelties: The visitors will be able to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder or WarioWare: Move It!, learn the Japanese origami technique with characters from Pikmin 4, talk to the developers of the Barcelona indie title Worldless or discover Suika Game, the exclusive game for Nintendo Switch that has become a viral phenomenon.
Nintendo returns to Manga Barcelona (December 7-10, at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via) and once again turns its stand into playable territory. The visitors to this great event of Japanese culture will be able to enjoy such celebrated games as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (sponsor of the event) and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, both nominated for game of the year by The Game Awards. More new games from the Japanese company will be present in the event, such as WarioWare: Move It! , Super Mario RPG, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with its recently completed Extra Tracks Pass, Pikmin 4 or Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with the first part of its new expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
People attending Manga Barcelona will be able to enjoy more than 120 gaming booths in the 1,324 m2 of the stand. And, in addition to playing games, they will be able to attend a Pikmin origami workshop, chat in person with the developers of the Barcelona video game Worldless, and discover Suika Game, the exclusive game for Nintendo Switch that has become a trend and has already accumulated more than four million downloads worldwide. Whether alone, with family or friends, Manga Barcelona visitors will find a game or activity at the Nintendo stand that will bring a smile to their face.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, one of this year's top-rated titles, has become a sponsor of the fair. It has also been a year marked by the Mario phenomenon, culminating in the launch of three titles in this series that will also be at Manga Barcelona: Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the new 2D adventure of Mario and his friends, full of imagination and surprises and perfect for sharing; Super Mario RPG, the remake for Nintendo Switch of a Super Nintendo Entertainment System game never before released in Europe; and WarioWare: Move It! with its hilarious microgames in which adopting the right pose and making a move at the right time are the keys to success. This is a perfect game to enjoy with friends and family and it does not require a special skill at the controls, it is enough to execute the different movements with your hands and body, so that the Joy-Con sensors transfer them to the screen. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will also be present, with a total of 96 tracks (those of the base game plus those of the Extra Tracks Pass, which has just been completed). Racing fans will feel the adrenaline and compete with their family and friends.
Pikmin 4, the space rescue mission that relies on the invaluable help of these tiny creatures, will be another protagonist in the Nintendo space. Fans of this game will be able to enjoy another facet of Japanese culture, thanks to the origami workshop that will teach them how to make a Pikmin using the origami technique.
Trend hunters will enjoy the space dedicated to Suika Game, the Nintendo Switch exclusive game that has become a viral phenomenon. This fun, cozy-spirited puzzle game about matching identical fruits to "move up" to the next category has become a favorite of streamers on platforms such as Twitch, and has already been downloaded more than four million times worldwide.
The 'zero kilometer' industry will also play a leading role. The videogame Worldless, by the Barcelona studio Noname, will have its own space at the Nintendo stand. Visitors to Manga Barcelona will be able to discover this fascinating 2D action-platform adventure, set in a time before the creation of the universe and solve all their doubts about the process of creating a video game: The creators of this independent title (among others, producer David Sánchez and Joel Roset, already well known for his work on the popular indie video game Gris) will be present at the stand and will talk about their experience as developers.
