Peterson Céüs is a French athlete specialized in men's rhythmic gymnastics and founder of the Association de défense de l'égalité hommes-femmes en gymnastique rythmique (GR-ADE), an association that tirelessly fights for gender equality in this discipline since 2018. Céüs, winner of several international awards and even multiple champion of Spain and France in men's rhythmic gymnastics, wants to ensure that this sport can be enjoyed by both men and women.
‘It is not fair not being able to fulfill your dreams because of your gender’. That's how blunt the gymnast is in the biography of the first volume of Céüs, an autobiographical manga that explores his life and talent based on his love for men's rhythmic gymnastics, a discipline that until recently was exclusively for female athletes. Céüs is the creator and protagonist of this manga, in which he collaborated with Spanish artist Carlos Moreno, co-writer, illustrator and inker of the first volume of the series, which also features the art of Japanese-born Spaniard Wakaiki.
Céüs, a collection of 3 volumes, is an original production of the French imprint Vega, from the prestigious publisher Dupuis, which Norma Editorial will present for the first time in Spanish in the incomparable space of Manga Barcelona. The event will be attended by Peterson Céüs and Carlos Moreno, who will talk about the secrets of this project and dedicate copies to readers.
