Fortress of Skulls, takes us to the end of the 16th century, in the middle of the Azuchi-Momoyama period during the rule of Oda Nobunaga and his successor, Toyotomi Hideyoshi. In this turbulent period, a confrontation takes place between a tyrant and a group of samurai who served the former lord of these lands.
An excellent example of the “geki cinema” that is enjoying success in Japan; an example of how the theater can become a fabulous cinematographic spectacle.
