He was born in Fukushima prefecture. In 1994 he debuted with an honorable mention in Shueisha's Hop☆Step Awards.

His manga “The Seven Deadly Sins” was published in Kodansha's “Weekly Shonen Magazine” from issue 45 of 2012 to issue 17 of 2020. Its sequel, “Four Knights of the Apocalypse”, is being published in the same magazine from issue 9 of 2021.
